CISCO-Академията при "Институт по отбрана „Професор Цветан Лазаров” предлага обучение в курса CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate – Сертифициран от Сиско сътрудник за работа с мрежи) Routing and Switching. Програмата на курса включва четири модула, всеки с продължителност по 70 учебни часа.

Учебното съдържание на CCNA Routing and Switching предоставя знания за теоретичните основи на мрежите и мрежовите устройства, и умения за работа с тях. Курсистите се обучават да инсталират и конфигурират маршрутизатори и комутатори в локални и по-големи мрежи, да откриват и отстраняват проблеми, да оптимизират мрежите и да се грижат за сигурността и защитата от атаки.

Програмата на курса не изисква предварителни знания по проектиране, изграждане, администриране и поддържане на компютърни мрежи. Необходимо е курсистите да ползват (четене с разбиране) английски език на техническо ниво, защото учебният материал и тестовете са на английски език, a лекциите и упражненията се провеждат на български език.
