7. Accepting structural unit: Directorate "Development of VTTIM"
8. Actuality and Disserability of the Suggested Problem:
In recent years, Defense Institute specialists have been actively involved in the research activities of the "Organization of Science and Technology of NATO" (STO), with participation in the Applied Technologies for Vehicles Panel (AVT) being particularly active as one of the priorities for the work is to increase the protection of the individual ballistic protection (UBS) and the protection of the combat and transport equipment (BTT) against ballistic threats, such as bullets and bullets.
The level of protection of UIBE and BTT combat and transport equipment against bullets and shakes is regulated by a number of standards NIJ 0101.06 Ballistic Resistance of Personal Body Armor, Stanag 4569 (Ed.2) Protection Levels for Occupants of Armored Vehicles, MIL-STD-662 F Military Srandard: V50 Ballistic Test for Armor. However, the risk of personal and technical defeats remains, especially when the armored car breaks out, when second-handed shovels arise from the chirch. The removal of this problem, both for the armor plates of UIBE and for unarmed and light-warped combat and transport equipment, is possible through the use of light textile, plastic, ceramic and metal materials and their combinations for ballistic protection of SIBZ and BTM.
The expected end result is the synthesis of a lightweight protective panel and their combinations for ballistic protection and a complementary one for UBIZ and BTT. The security panel will meet the requirements of the above ballistic protection standards for bullets and bullets.
The project was reported as a national project for 2016-2018. in the NATO Science and Technology Organization, AVT Panel at the 35 AVT-PBM meeting on April 24, 2015 and approved by the organization's office.
Based on the experience of the Institute of Defense in UBS, as well as in the implementation of international scientific applied projects and the interest in this project by the University of Edinburgh, we offer the following subject for doctorate:
Research and modeling of light materials for ballistic protection
1.Analysis of the current state
The level of protection of individual ballistic protection (UBS) and combat and transport (BTT) equipment against bullets and shunts is regulated by a number of standards NIJ 0101.06 Ballistic Resistance of Personal Body Armor, Stanag 4569 (Ed.2) Protection Levels for Occupants of Armored Vehicles, MIL-STD-662 F Military Srandard: V50 Ballistic Test for Armor. However, the risk of personal and technical defeats remains, especially when the armored car breaks out, when second-handed shovels arise from the chirch. This problem concerns both the FLEX armor plates and the unarmed and light-weight combat and transport equipment.
2. The main purpose of the study
The aim is the application of light materials and their combinations for ballistic protection of SIBZ and BTM.
3. Expected result
The expected final result of the study is the synthesis of a lightweight protective panel and their combinations for ballistic protection and a complementary one for UBIZ and BTT. The security panel will meet the requirements of the above ballistic protection standards for bullets and bullets.
