On October 15, 2020 the "Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov" Defence Institute was visited by students from the University of National and World Economy, whose are studying in the Specialty "Economics of Defense and Security" in the educational and qualification degree "Bachelor".

They were warmly welcomed personally by the director of the Institute, Colonel PhD Dimitar Kirkov. The students became acquainted with the life and activity of the patron of the institute, one of the largest Bulgarian aviation engineers, Professor Tsvetan Lazarov. The students were briefed on the Defence Institute`s mission, functions, structure and tasks. The presentation by Professor Yantsislav Yanakiev of the research projects within NATO and the European Union in which the Institute participates, as well as the opportunities for training in the educational scientific degree "Doctor", discussed with Professor Valeri Ivanov, aroused special interest.

Young people looked with interest at the specialized training and education rooms with reference samples of clothes, combat equipment, property, optical and laser appliances, drones, etc., and became acquainted with the possibilities, offered by the main certified scientific laboratories of the Institute.
