Directorate "Development of C4I Systems" 

• Responsible for scientific research, applied and experimental design work in the area of C4I systems and information technology for defense;
• prepares scientific analyzes and forecasts related to the development of the Bulgarian Army's C4I systems and information technology for defense;
• prepares projects, technical specifications, TACs, testing programs and methodologies, etc., related to the development of the Bulgarian Army's C4I systems and information technology for defense;
• provides with scientific technical expertise the activities for design and construction of integrated communication and information systems for management of the country and the armed forces;
• cooperates in the field of applied research and technology, testing and certification of C4I systems within NATO, the European Union and on a bilateral basis;
• responsible for the certification of physical security systems for classified information;
• prepares military-economic analyzes related to C4I systems;
• conducts training in educational and scientific degree "doctor" in accredited scientific specialties;
• supports integrated project teams with participation in the preparation, scientific accompaniment and overall implementation of programs and projects in the interest of defence;
• organizes the conduction and participation in scientific and applied conferences, seminars, symposia, courses, etc .;
• organizes the work of the Expert Technical and Economic Council on "Development of C4I Systems".
