Workshop on the topic "Analysis of the participation of the Defense Institute in EDF projects and prospects for development", organized under the CyberTwin project Reinforcing the Scientific Excellence and Innovation Capacity in Cyber Security through Twinning was held on 18 – 20 July 2023.

CyberTwin is one of the 12 projects funded under the National Science Program "European Science Networks" of the Ministry of Education and Science. A coordinator of the project is the State University of Library Studies and Information Technology, and the consortium members are the Bulgarian Defence Institute, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski"; KU Leuven (Belgium) and - Fondazione Politecnico di Milano (Italy).

During the seminar, the representatives of the Bulgarian Defence Institute presented the challenges and their possible solutions related to the implementation of the projects funded by the calls of the European Defense Fund (European Defense Fund) in the field of cyber security. Discussions focused on mechanisms and measures to boost scientific excellence and innovation capacity and to increase the international visibility of the Bulgarian Defence Institute in the field of cyber defense.
