The Bulgarian Defense Institute "Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov" is a co-organizer of the international anniversary conference, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the founding of the AFCEA section "Sofia" on the topic "Technological challenges and the role of the Bulgarian Army in the collective defence and security."

The conference will be held at the Central Military Club on October 10 and October 11, 2023.

The main emphasis in the sessions on October 10 was placed on the modernization of the Land Forces, the Air Forces and the Naval Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria.

On October 11, the main emphasis is on cyber security and innovation in defence and security.

The director of the Bulgarian Defence Institute "Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov " colonel associate prof. D.Sc. Borislav Genov will participate as a keynote speaker in the session "Innovations in defence and security".
