On July 16, 2020, the Director of the Bulgarian Defense Institute - Colonel PhD Dimitar Kirkov held a meeting with Eng. Blagovesta Shineva - Manager of the Center for Testing and European Certification - Stara Zagora (CTEC- Stara Zagora) and Eng. Chavdara Atanasova - Head of Type A Inspection Body at CTES. The meeting was also attended by Colonel Nikolay Zlatanov - Head of "Tests and Control Measurements of Armaments, Machinery and Property" Directorate.

During the talks was discussed the possibilities for cooperation between the Defense Institute and CTEC, which consist of exchanging technical experts, carrying out development activities, using the Laboratories of the Defense Institute as a subcontractor, etc. Both sides welcomed the idea of signing a Memorandum for Cooperation in the near future.
