CREST Plenary Meeting in Lisbon

After two pandemic years, the CREST project conducted its plenary meeting on 09 and 10.03.2022 in Lisbon, Portugal. The meeting was organized by Polícia Judiciária (Portuguese Criminal Police) and was held at its premises.

During the first day of the plenary meeting, the scientific and technical coordinator George Kalpakis (CERTH) and Ovidiu Dimitrache (SPP) presented the progress made thus far within the scope and the objectives of CREST. The presentations of the leaders of WP 1-10 followed, describing the objectives achieved, progress so far, and the way forward. Furthermore, the exploitation and sustainability planning, as well as ethical issues of AI algorithmic were discussed.

During the second day of the meeting, the Executive Board of the project consortium examined the course of actions taken and made discussions regarding the new challenges the CREST project would face. Also, several discussions took place - about end-user requirements, 2nd prototype preparation, pilot implementation, and evaluation planning. In the meeting participated the representatives of the Bulgarian Defence Institute Major Dr. Angel Genchev and Assoc. prof. Dr. Maya Bozhilova.
